NAWE Conference 2007

The Hawkhills, York, 16-18 November

This conference marked a new departure for NAWE, being the first of our weekend events for which we also provided full accommodation onsite.

Guest speakers were Michael Morpurgo and Kate Atkinson. There was also a reading by NAWE members featured in the British Council publication Feeling the Pressure: poetry and science of climate change.

Conference proceedings were featured in Writing in Education No. 44, including articles by Liz Cashdan, Mike Harris, Susanna Gladwin, Kathy Flann and Lucy Collins, Helena Blakemore, Maggie Butt, Steve May and Robyn Bolam, Jess Moriarty and Maria Antoniou, Nigel McLoughlin, Victoria Field, Carolyn Yates.

Mario Petrucci's presentation, on Creative Writing and Science, was featured in Writing in Education No 45, and is also available as a full resource pack.
