NAWE Conference 2019

The Park Inn, York, 8-10 November

The 2019 Conference was held once again in the beautiful city of York and featured guest speakers Imtiaz Dharker and Paul McVeigh. Special events included a partnership with the Aesthetica Short Film Festival, exclusively for NAWE members; an International Writer’s Breakfast; 1-2-1 Funding sessions with Jonathan Davidson; a Pitching workshop with Olivia Chapman; a walk around some of the less famous locations in York with local writers Oz Hardwick and Amina Alyal; and launches of the Valley Press Anthology of Prose Poetry and Giant Steps: Fifty poets reflect on the fiftieth anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing.

Issue No. 78 of Writing in Education was launched at the event, with conference contributions published in No. 79.
