Creative Writing in Special Education
This book brings together the reflections of those writers who took part in NAWE's pioneering project of 1995, with comments from teachers involved. It also contains articles by specialists in the field, accounts of arts and disability issues, reviews, book lists and other resources.
'I can't imagine a course or residency having more effect on my creative writing than this course. It has altered my perceptions of students' abilities and practices when I work with students of all ages. I know now that I would like to do more work in Special Education and with people who have learning difficulties.'
