York Art Gallery
Leeds-based poet Antony Dunn worked this year with York Art Gallery and the Joseph Rowntree School. This project worked with older children who were drawn from a very able cohort who were also at an educational disadvantage. Again, this was one of the reasons why we wanted to support the work, because it was trying to do something quite special with the group of students identified.
An article related to this project appears in Writing in Education No. 73.
"There are lots of aspects of this project that I remember, and will continue to remember, proudly. Principal among them is the absolute lack of ego among the group. Every one of them worked hard at something new, and saw their work subsumed into an anonymized, collaborative work." – Antony Dunn
