Dr Anne Caldwell is a freelance writer and education specialist, based in the United Kingdom. She has worked for the National Association for Writers in Education, and currently works for the Open University as an Associate Lecturer in Creative Writing. She has recently completed a PhD in prose poetry at The University of Bolton. Her poetry has appeared in a range of publications in the UK and internationally, including The Rialto, Tract, Poetry Wales, Rabbit and Axon. She has published three collections including Painting the Spiral Staircase (Cinnamon Press, 2016). In 2019, she was the co-editor of The Valley Press Anthology of Prose Poetry, alongside Oz Hardwick. Her fourth collection of prose poetry, Alice and the North, was published by Valley Press in November 2020. She published a new pamphlet of prose poetry, Neither Here Nor There, with SurVision press in 2024.
