The Writing Tutor will establish a Writing Clinic for undergraduate students in five schools within the College of Arts and Law during the 2011-12 session
This will involve setting up a focused provision to include a limited number of student workshops, provision of one-to-one student support and the development of on-line resources.  All of the activity will be focused on improving argumentation and linguistic accuracy using, for example, the Writing Process synopsis.  The post holder will need experience of teaching English for academic purposes at University level.  The Writing Tutor will be paid on an hourly basis (£28.67 per hour) for approximately 450 hours over roughly a 9 month period.
