The Writers Lab UK & Europe

Supported by Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman and Natalie Portman, the mission of The Writers Lab is to ignite the power of women and nonbinary screenwriters over 40 and activate the media industry to broaden the range of storytelling across visual platforms.
The Writers Lab offers labs, retreats, ongoing mentoring, industry exposure, and craft programming.
For this year's UK & Europe Writers Lab, we are accepting full-length features and pilots in English in five regions: Austria, England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
The Writers Lab UK & Europe is scheduled for the first week in September 2025 (dates subject to change), with revision and development work and individual meetings through the end of December 2025.
