Temporary Project Worker for Portsmouth Writing Workshops, Portsmouth City Council

Portsmouth Library and Archive Service is looking for a Project Worker to work with local groups as part of the BBC/Libraries Connected Novels that shaped the world project.
We have secured funding to deliver a short series of writing workshops with local community groups in June 2020, taking the theme of Identity and using the book Small Island by Andrea Levy to inspire writing and sharing from group participants.
What we are looking for:
A creative and energetic individual
Someone with a proven track record of delivering writing workshops to groups or classes
Someone with experience of engaging with hard to reach groups.
A keen reader and able to analyse the content of novels, extracting themes and ideas to develop appropriately for the groups.
Someone based in Portsmouth or within easy travel distance to Portsmouth.
Someone who is confident to deliver workshops
The fee is £125 per workshop inclusive of VAT (6 workshops anticipated) including all travel. Any stationery costs will be met/
