Applications are invited for a permanent Senior Lecturer in Creative and Life Writing (0.4 FTE). The role includes contributions to the teaching, marking, and administration of the highly popular MA in Creative and Life Writing.
The role principally involves the convenorship, teaching, and marking of either the spring-term Life Writing option or the spring-term Fiction option, and the convenorship of the autumn term Contemporary Contexts seminars. The role also includes: planning and delivery of workshop teaching; delivery of one-to-one tutorials to MA students; and supervision of PhD students.
We are seeking a writer with a strong record of publication in life writing and/or fiction. Connections across the other genres the MA covers would also be advantageous. You will be an enthusiastic and conscientious professional with excellent organisational, interpersonal, and project and time management skills. You will be committed to providing an excellent student experience, and to taking a continuous improvement and problem-solving approach to all aspects of your work. You will be practised at taking a proactive approach to troubleshooting any risks to the fulfilment of key elements of the student experience.

Salary: £50,663 to £58,084 per annum
