We are looking for a talented freelance performance poet to undertake a poetry residency, for a period of up to a two years, at the National Memorial Arboretum.
Our poet-in-residence will use the Arboretum's evolving landscape, memorials, and the stories they represent as inspiration for a series of unique and original poems they will produce, that will help us share our stories with brand new audiences.
Applicants should have experience in developing and delivering participatory workshops with both school age and community adult groups, and should feel comfortable sharing their work in both small and large scale event environments.
The fee will be £300 per day inclusive of travel for a minimum of 36 days during this period.
Located within the National Forest, the National Memorial Arboretum is the Nation’s year-round place to remember, a space where everyone can celebrate lives lived and remember lives lost. A beautiful and inspiring place, the 150-acres of the Arboretum form a living landscape and are home to over 400 memorials.
