The George Padmore Institute is looking for a part-time Outreach and Communications Officer who can multi-task between PR communications work, managing events and digital outputs, and developing outreach strategies with artists and organisations.

Then join the small but dedicated George Padmore Institute team whose mission is to make our unique archive collections more widely known.
We are looking for a part-time Outreach and Communications Officer with some experience and many ideas who can multi-task across PR, managing our events and digital outputs and developing outreach strategies.
In this varied and busy role, you will work with the GPI staff to: create digital content (website and across social media); develop marketing strategies for our publications and fundraising; create PR campaigns for events, new publications and any other work; and bring your ideas about making the Institute more visible.
This post offers hybrid working, with a mix of remote and office working. Ideally you should be able to come into the office on a Monday or a Tuesday.
Funding by Arts Council England for three years. the role is permanent (subject to passing probation) for 2 days a week, with pension and holiday benefits.
Contract: Part-time (0.4ft/2 days a week) employed, with pension
Salary: £12,600 (pro rata gross – full time equivalent £30,500)
Based: North London (some flexible work allowed)
