Open Call: Poetry School Commission – The Verve Poetry Festival Performance Lecture

Poetry School are searching for an established/mid-career poet to create a new Performance Lecture at Verve Poetry Festival in Birmingham in February 2025.
This dynamic 50-minute piece will blend poetry and academic discourse, turning teaching into performance. The poet will explore a topic of their choice, with the opportunity to push the boundaries of spoken word and poetic expression.
Eligibility: Poets with a proven track record and at least one published collection. £1000 remuneration.
