Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Reader in Creative Writing - AC2355SB, University of St Andrews

We wish to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Reader within the School of English. You will be a creative writer with a growing international reputation for publications and recognised experience in high-quality teaching within the broad field of Creative Writing.

You will be expected to have a range of interests, to be active in publishing that strengthens or complements the work of the School and to be capable of teaching the subject to undergraduate and taught postgraduate students from a wide range of backgrounds.

It is desirable though not essential that candidates should hold a PhD or MFA. Excellent teaching skills and an interest in promoting knowledge exchange are essential. You should also have some familiarity with grant seeking processes in relation to research councils and other sources.

Start: 1 September 2023 or as soon as possible thereafter
