Deadline: Fri 9 Aug 2013
Anglia Ruskin is vibrant, modern University gaining prominence both nationally and internationally and we have ambitious plans for our future

Our main campuses in the cities of Cambridge, Chelmsford and Peterborough have been transformed with major capital investments. With an annual income of £163m, over 30,000 students and 2,000 staff, we are a major force for higher education in the East of England.

About the role:

The Faculty of Arts, Law and Social Sciences provides first-class teaching, research and consultancy relevant to professional activity in arts, law and social sciences. We are committed to the mutual reinforcement of theory and practice in teaching and research and have shaped our curriculum to ensure that traditional disciplines retain a clear, academic identity but translate effectively into courses with professional relevance.

Anglia Ruskin offers writing at both BA and MA levels, and has a rapidly expanding PhD cohort. The degrees offer students the chance to experiment and develop prose, poetry, drama, non-fiction and screenwriting.

With a first degree and a higher degree or professional qualifications at postgraduate level, you will have published creative writing. You will have experience in teaching in Higher Education and will have supervised BA and MA projects. We are seeking candidates with a strong publication profile in prose fiction.

You will have the ability and willingness to develop a personal research/consultancy profile and the ability to contribute to curriculum development.

Two opportunities have arisen for a 0.8 FTE and 1.0 FTE maternity leave cover. Please apply for both positions if you are interested in being considered for both.

For an informal conversation, please contact the Head of English, Communication, Film and Media, Prof Farah Mendlesohn: farah.mendlesohn@anglia.ac.uk

We value diversity at Anglia Ruskin University and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
