Lecturer in Drama, Directing and Scriptwriting (Stage and Screen), University of Chester

We wish to appoint an enthusiastic Lecturer to contribute to the Department’s performance and media programmes. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching on the Acting, Drama, Performing Arts, Television and Film Programmes, and undertake pastoral duties in support of students.
The successful applicant will be a proven practitioner, with a track record of H.E lecturing in directing for screen (and possibly stage), scriptwriting and narrative development for a range of creative mediums, who is as comfortable in the studio as the lecture theatre.
One or more of the following would also be beneficial:
Adaptation
Storytelling
Devising performance
Post-production for TV and or Film
Radio and/or podcasting, multi-platform production
Voice technique
Experience of an emerging research profile, as a practice-based or scholarly researcher is essential.
