Lecturer in Creative Writing (Teaching and Research), Queen Mary, University of London
The Department of English in the School of English and Drama in Queen Mary’s Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences seeks to appoint a permanent part-time (0.5fte) Lecturer in Creative Writing.
Joining a team devoted to innovative, experimental practice and teaching, the successful candidate will be a published writer with interests in one or more of these areas: migration, diaspora, race, translation, religious or cultural identity.
They will be able to contribute to:
the development and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching across Creative Writing
Teaching Creative Writing in relation to Black British, and/or British Asian, African, South Asian, Caribbean literatures
Liaising with relevant networks of literary practitioners and organizations, including those with mentoring expertise
The successful applicant will contribute to our thriving, diverse and politically engaged culture of practice and research in Creative Writing and English.
The successful applicant will hold a PhD in Creative Writing, English or a related field. Alternatively, you may have equivalent professional experience/qualification. You will have an established international profile as practitioner and/or researcher in a field of Creative Writing, whether in prose, poetry, performance, hybrid or alternative modes. Experience in teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels is an essential requirement.
