In this post, you will have the opportunity to work with our dedicated Creative Writing team to design and deliver high quality, student-centred teaching and learning that reflects our focus on career development for emerging writers of commercial genres.

The role will be primarily focused on teaching postgraduate Creative Writing students and will give you the opportunity to collaborate with a number of stakeholders, utilising your ability for cross-disciplinary working and general commitment to collaboration across the University and beyond.

We are looking for someone ambitious and enthusiastic, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team supporting others.

You will also need:
Postgraduate or Undergraduate degree, demonstrable subject expertise in the area along with relevant practice experience in the field
A professional publication record of recent, relevant commercial genre fiction
Relevant teaching experience and evidence of a professional academic profile alongside a commitment to sustained continuous professional development
A scholarly interest in developing innovative narrative practice
Excellent oral and written communication skills
A Masters-level or higher qualification in a relevant discipline

Salary: £42,155 - £51,805 per annum (Grade 6), (based on 35-hour week and pro-rated accordingly)
Hours: Part-time - 21 hours per week (0.6 FTE)
