Birkbeck, University of London is seeking a Lecturer in Creative Writing to join our esteemed School of Creative Arts, Culture & Communication where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the intellectual future of our students.
As Lecturer in Creative Writing, you will contribute to a range of modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as well as bringing expertise in fiction, non-fiction and the publishing industry to the role.
The ideal Lecturer will be a published author, and an active researcher, as well as having:
A PhD in Creative Writing (or a related discipline).
Experience in programme direction and enhancement.
Experience of teaching (undergraduate and postgraduate), as well as administration and pastoral care to support students in successfully completing their studies
Ability to supervise doctoral students
A commitment to diversity and the ability to engage students from diverse backgrounds.
Open-ended, permanent contract. Full-time, 35 hours per week including daytime attendance and delivering lectures in the evening 6-9pm.
