The University of the West of England, Bristol seeks a Lecturer in Creative and Professional Writing: Publishing and a Lecturer in Creative and Professional Writing: Commercial and Copywriting.

Lecturer in Creative and Professional Writing: Publishing
You will be able to deliver outstanding teaching in both face-to-face and online settings, and make an enthusiastic contribution to the collegiate life of the subject cluster, school, faculty and university. You will draw on your own practice to deliver sessions in an authentic and engaging manner, with the opportunity to contribute to the design and delivery of a third-year module: Publishing: From Commission to Print. You will have a track record in the UK’s publishing industry and be keen to develop your publishing practice by deploying your skills in an academic context.

This is a part-time, fixed term post for two years, working on a 50% contract. Job reference R04462

Lecturer in Creative and Professional Writing: Commercial and Copywriting

You will be able to deliver outstanding teaching in both face-to-face and online settings, and make an enthusiastic contribution to the collegiate life of the subject cluster, school, faculty and university. You will draw on your own practice to deliver sessions in an authentic and engaging manner, bringing innovative, relevant and fresh approaches to our first, second and third year commercial and copywriting courses. You will be able to demonstrate the application of your creative and copywriting skills to a wide variety of professional situations and a diverse range of clients.

Although a PhD is not an essential requirement, evidence of authorship in creative or technical fields is desirable. We welcome applicants who have studied Creative Writing, English and related subjects at PhD level.

This is a fixed term post of two years and is part time working on a 50% contract. Job Ref: R04463
