Lancaster Words Short Film Competition

As part of the Lancaster Words festival in July we are holding a short-film competition which invites entrants to make a 5-minute film responding to Paul Muldoon’s wonderful short poem ‘The Weepies’

Entry to the competition is FREE and there will be a showing of the prize-winning films during the festival on Friday 7th July in the Storey Institute, Lancaster.

  • Entrants must be under 25 (on May 1st 2017)
  • Deadline: 19th June 2017

To enter please send an email with a private link to a Vimeo or YouTube upload of your film. In the email you should include the following:

  • your name, age,
  • where you study (if still in education),
  • the title of your film
  • a sentence summary about how it responds to the Muldoon poem

All submissions for the competition should be headed 'Film Festival submission'.

Prizes: 1st: £75, 2nd: £50, 3rd: £25 (in amazon vouchers)
