National Centre for Writing is recruiting for three exciting posts — an Operations and Commercial Assistant, Arts Programme Assistant (Kickstart) and Communications Team Assistant (Kickstart).

National Centre for Writing is a dynamic literature house for contemporary writing at the heart of a world class UNESCO City of Literature. We’re a charity and company limited by guarantee, committed to exploring the artistic, social and place-making powers of creative writing and literary translation.

We are currently recruiting for three exciting posts — an Operations and Commercial Assistant, Arts Programme Assistant (Kickstart) and Communications Team Assistant (Kickstart).

Operations and Commercial Assistant

Contract: 0.6 FTE fixed term 12 months (with a view to making permanent)
Salary: £18,525 per annum pro rata
We’re looking for an Operations & Commercial Assistant to provide high level administrative and organisational support to the Operations & Commercial Team as it grows and develops its commercial strategy of venue hire and events opportunities at the historic 15th century venue in Norwich, Dragon Hall. This role provides an ideal opportunity for someone who is interested in pursuing a career in the arts and heritage, events, or venue management sectors. Apply by 12pm, Friday 18th February 2022.

Build your confidence, learn vital transferable skills and gain real experience of working in the Arts & Cultural sector through a Kickstart Scheme placement. National Centre for Writing is delighted to offer two opportunities to join our friendly, dedicated team:

Arts Programme Assistant
Contract: 25 hours per week, fixed term 6 months
Hourly rate: £9.90 per hour (Actual Living Wage)
This role will be based at our offices in our Grade-I listed venue, Dragon Hall. The main purpose of the post will be to support a busy programme team in an arts organisation as it designs, develops and delivers a range of programmes and activities based around writing and reading. Communications Team Assistant
Contract: 25 hours per week, fixed term 6 months
Hourly rate: £9.90 per hour (Actual Living Wage)
This role will be based at our offices in our Grade-I listed venue, Dragon Hall. The main purpose of the post will be to support the communications and marketing team of a busy arts organisation as they create and share marketing and communications materials that connect audiences, communities and partners to the organisation’s aims.
