Editorial Assistant

Aesthetica Magazine is recruiting an Editorial Assistant to work directly alongside our Editor

We are looking for someone with exquisite attention to detail, a passion for art and culture, as well as having an excellent command of the English language. You must be proactive, highly organised, have the ability to spot opportunities and contribute new ideas across the company.

You will work from our busy city-centre offices (York) directly with the Editor of Aesthetica Magazine assisting not only in production of the magazine, but also across a range of other exciting areas.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is motivated, hard working, and creative. A relevant degree or equivalent is required. You should demonstrate a real commitment to working in the magazine industry, and specially arts and culture, as well as having some prior experience. Please be familiar with the magazine before applying.

Main tasks

  • Support the Editor by doing a range of research and editorial tasks.
  • Support production and image sourcing.
  • Update the blog daily
  • Update the social media profile
  • Update copy across the websites
  • Work closely with the Editor of Aesthetica’s various projects
  • Manage existing partnerships & logistics
  • Develop new partnerships
  • Regular administration tasks
  • Various research activities across the company
  • Assist in any other areas as required.
