Creative Associates Residencies, New Writing North

Apply for a six-month residency and get the time and space to work on a new creative project. Five writers and creatives based in Newcastle, North Tyneside and Northumberland will receive £5000, as well as mentoring and support to experiment, build skills, and make work that they may not otherwise be able to. There is also one screenwriting residency on offer, in partnership with Tyneside Cinema.
As a New Writing North Creative Associate, you will receive support for 6-months to create a new piece of artistic work. We have no preconceptions about what that the work may be (although it will involve writing in some form), we want to provide you with the time and space to create the work within our organisation. There will be a budget of £5,000 for each artist to support the creation of the work. However New Writing North may be in a position to support further fundraising if your project requires it.? Writers will also receive a bespoke mentoring package, which will help you to deliver the project.
As Screenwriter in Residence at Tyneside Cinema, you will receive support to create a new piece of artistic work for the screen. There will be a budget of £5,000 for each artist to support the creation of the work.
