Assistant Professor in Creative Writing (Teaching & Research), New College of the Humanities, Northeastern London
The New College of Humanities at Northeastern wishes to appoint two part-time (0.5FTE) Assistant Professors (Teaching & Research).
We wish to appoint a specialist in writing for professional commercial purposes (for example, screenwriting), and a specialist in narrative writing with knowledge of narrative discourse analysis and/or narratology, or a specialist in both.
Preference may be given to candidates with active interests in the relationship of Creative Writing to one or more of the following areas: software and/or technology; employment contexts; diversity and inclusion.
Core duties will include teaching as required across a range of programmes (which may include in-bound mobility from the Northeastern Network) and across diverse genres and forms (both prose and poetry).
Candidates must be available to work during the clearing period in August 2021.
We particularly encourage applications from those with an interest in innovative teaching, learning and assessment; those with experience of supporting a wide variety of students; and those belonging to groups underrepresented in UK higher education.
