Artist in residence, Josephine Butler College (Durham University)
Deadline: Mon 19 Feb 2024
Are you an artist or writer? Would you like to work and live at a university college in Durham? Working with students, staff and people from the local community?
This is an 8 month position with free accommodation and a commission of £4,000 for the equivalent of 1 day per week over the term time part of the residency.
Our theme is CELEBRATION.
We have lots of talented people in our college community and we would like someone who could work collaboratively with us to unlock our creative potential. Plus, we hope that you would be able to develop your own work whilst living and working with us too.
You can also connect with literary and artistic festivals that we are involved with such as Summer in the City and Durham Fringe. We are also working in partnership with a local church as we already run an intergenerational project with them too.
The residency would run from May 2024-December 2024.
