Writing West Midlands: 2023 National Writers' Conference: Booking closes on Friday

Join Writing West Midlands and industry experts for a day of information sharing, inspiration and networking. Knowing how the writing world works can help all of us make the most of our writing. Join us for a friendly day of presentations and panel discussions, focusing on how writers can find the best ways to develop their talents. Booking closes on Friday 7th July.

Our subjects will include:
- how publishing works
- writing for theatre and audio
- digital & self-publishing
- non-fiction publishing

Come along, ask questions, share answers and be part of a vibrant network of writers form across the country, working in many forms and genres.

Speakers include:
• Writer and dramatist Maeve Clarke, the writer of last year’s Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony
• Jane Rogers, award-winning author of ten novels, screenplay writer and radio dramatist and creative writing teacher
• H W Fisher Business Solutions, the sector’s leading accountancy firm for writers.
• Literary agent at Madeleine Milburn Agency, Hannah Todd
• Digital publicity editor at Bookoutre, Kim Nash
• Mark Edwards, best-selling novelist of over 14 books, including latest release, Keep Her Secret
• Deputy head of publicity at Simon and Schuster publishers, Jessica Barratt
• Playwright and workshop leader, Lorna French. She is currently under commission to Pentabus Theatre and her most recent writing work includes the short play I See You Now.
• Mireille Harper, Editorial director at One Boat and Bluebird, Pan Macmillan
