Write from the Art
Sun 3 Nov 2024 to Sun 3 Nov 2024
Friendly online creative writing workshops. Simple but effective inspiration for anyone who enjoys looking at art to stimulate new writing. 4pm-5.30pm, First Sunday of every month Next workshop is on 3 November 2024.

Write from the Art does what it says on the tin! If you enjoy looking at art and want to explore different ways to generate new writing this is the workshop for you. Exercises are based on an enquiry-based learning and use the artwork as a jumping off point into shared reflections, bigger thinking and creative story-making.

Experienced Creative Facilitator Rosie Carnall uses a different artwork every month for a unique creative writing experience. These online workshops develop on her experience of facilitating creative writing and philosophical enquiry sessions in art galleries, museums, pubs, community venues and workplaces, Rosie curates a unique art-based creative writing experience to spark your imagination.

Previous participants have said: "This was a great, light-hearted way to play with creative writing and build confidence in finding new ways to generate writing ideas." and "I really liked the fact that it was structured, it used short exercises with a defined objective to help steer us through a range of thinking and writing which helped lead us to using our imaginations. Sharing observations and ideas was great too as it provided aspects which we may not have picked up on our own."

Rosie offers Write from the Art online on the first Sunday of every month and occasional in-person sessions in art galleries. Get in touch if you would like to find out more: www.rosiecarnall.co.uk
