Workshop "Political Writing – Gaze Training" at UdK Berlin
Mon 19 Sep 2022 to Thu 22 Sep 2022
While journalism and non-fiction work with the actual state of society, poetry creates an idea of the (inner) world. Which perspective has not yet been told? How does one take a perspective? What images do storytellers, playwrights, and poets hold for the untold? Their voices create diversity, their view of conditions will determine how generations after us understand the world we live in today.
Lecturer Sasha Marianna Salzmann is a novelist, playwright, essayist, and curator. Salzmann's theatre works have been translated into more than 20 languages and have been awarded, among others, with the Academy of the Arts' Art Prize for Performing Arts 2020. Salzmann's novels “Außer sich” (2017) and “Im Menschen muss alles herrlich sein” (2021) were both nominated for the German Book Prize.
