Do you write poetry and then perform it to yourself in front of the bathroom mirror? Do you ever feel like you’d like to stand up in front of an audience and give it your all?
Well, ‘Stand Up For Poetry!’ will give you the chance.
A free workshop hosted by ‘A Firm of Poets’ founding members, Matt Abbott Ralph Dartford that will teach you to perform poetry in public. You will learn microphone technique, presentation skills, timing, and how to get an audience on your side.
Bring a poem that you would like to perform (not too long) and a willingness to give it a go in front of fellow poets, and then perhaps in front of a bigger audience for the ‘Firm’s’ show later this evening.
