The first half of meetings normally consists of a short talk and Q&A from an industry expert, followed by workshops of members' scripts
Scottish Screenwriters was formed in 2005 by John McShane and Jerry Brannigan, continuing the work started in the various screenwriting courses they had attended.

Meetings are on the second Monday of each month with the first half normally consisting of a short talk and Q&A from an industry expert, followed by workshopping of members' scripts. The aim is to provide a safe and welcoming environment for screenwriters of all levels of experience.
