A day exploring kindness, rules, rudeness & compassion in the classroom. Free to all creative facilitators, arts education managers and teachers.
Positivity in Practice is a year-long project funded by Arts Council England exploring the child developmental impact of creativity in the classroom and developing a networking/toolkit website for artists/organisations nurturing the wellbeing of school-aged children.
The day includes panel discussion (with Dympna Cunnane, CEO of Our Time, for children with parents who have a mental illness, and poet Justin Coe), forum theatre session, inclusivity games and networking opportunities.
Hosted by Steve Tasane, an award-winning poet, novelist and playwright with over 20 years’ experience of delivering creative workshops in primary and secondary school for organisations including The Poetry Society, Apples and Snakes and Arvon Foundation.
