New Writing South: Writing and Self: Exploring and blurring the lines between fiction and autobiography in creative writing with Rosy Carrick
Tue 4 Feb 2025 to Tue 4 Feb 2025
What does it mean to “write the self”, and how might we start to express ourselves in unusual and innovative ways? Which versions of ourselves are we happy to share, in any case, and which are we careful to keep hidden? And what happens when we start to bend the truth altogether…?

Through practical exercises and group discussion, you will complete this workshop with a diverse set of new approaches as we explore, unpick and generally muddy up the fine line between fiction and autobiography in creative writing.
