Susan Greenberg will be helping to run a workshop at the London Book Fair focusing on universities as a site for innovation in publishing
On Wednesday, April 17, Susan Greenberg will be helping to run a NAWE-sponsored workshop at the London Book Fair, focusing on universities as a site for innovation in publishing.
Details about the workshop appear here.
Susan invites all NAWE colleagues to come along, and to let other interested parties know about the event. She is keen to hear your views on how best to present NAWE and the role of universities generally. Attendees do have to register but it is free for academics and/or students.
She would like to provide a hand-out listing all the publishing ventures that we know about, which are based at UK universities. If you know of anything we should include, please do get in touch ASAP, with the name of the project, a sentence describing it, a web link (if available) and a contact name and email address. Projects may include, but are not limited to:
- university presses that use print-on-demand technology to produce monographs and edited collections;
- online magazines and journals;
- digital scholarly editions and archives;
- experimentation with form and content in the classroom, and in faculty practice;
- dissemination of scholarship via Twitter, research blogs, open access repositories and the like.
- Peer-reviewed student journals
If you have any queries, please contact Susan directly on 07788 920186 or by emailing s.greenberg@roehampton.ac.uk. Alternatively, please contact Paul Munden at the NAWE office.
