Irish Writers Centre: Techniques of Adaptation for the Stage and Screen with Alice Coghlan
Sat 7 Dec 2019 to Sat 7 Dec 2019
This lively workshop empowers writers to change the genre of their work and the work of others for the stage and screen. This in turn means that actors, directors and other creatives have a text that empowers them to realise its full dramatic potential.

Alice Coghlan  will take the workshop from dramatic theory through dramatic improvisation and writing exercises. Topics include theatricality, telling your story, restructuring your story and creating theatrical characters your audience care about.

Alice Coghlan is a theatre director, playwright, play adaptor, designer and is Artistic Director of Wonderland Productions. She is also a qualified Drama Teacher. From 2006-18 she was a Literary Reader for The Abbey Theatre.
