Hexham Book Festival returns this year from 2-11 July 2021 with most events taking place in or around a wonderful vintage Spiegeltent in the the Hexham Abbey Grounds. It's the perfect place to experience our line-up of top-notch authors, thinkers and poets.
We’ll be talking American Politics with James Naughtie, English Nationalism with Gavin Esler and what really makes us hungry with Grace Dent.
There’s 20th Century China with Jung Chang, an Elephant in Rome with Lloyd Grossman, hill farming in Cumbria with James Rebanks, Performance Poetry with Hollie McNish and lots more talks and workshops in between.
Bring your younger ones along to a whole weekend of fabulous children’s authors at our much anticipated Gillian Dickinson Children’s Festival - who can resist Supertato’s creator Sue Hendra, Jonny Duddle with Gigantosaurus and a chance to meet the Tiger from THAT tea party.
