Gather is a monthly online writing group led by writer and facilitator, Amanda Quinn, which offers inspiration and encouragement for anyone wanting to get writing and stay motivated.
At each session, you’ll be able to:
• Learn about upcoming writing opportunities.
• Take part in writing exercises and share the results with the group (if you'd like to).
• Discuss progress on your own writing projects.
There's no pressure to share work and the sessions cover different activities and genres every month. You'll leave with more writing prompts and information to keep you writing until the next monthly session.
Gather is suitable for people at any stage of their writing practice. Sessions are on the first Thursday of the month and you can attend regularly or as a one-off.
Amanda Quinn is a writer and tutor who lives in Newcastle upon Tyne. Her short stories and poems have been published in print and online. She has taught creative writing since 2015 and has delivered courses and workshops online and in community centres, libraries, museums, day centres, and schools across North East England to encourage and support people to write. She is particularly interested in helping people benefit from being creative in their everyday lives and her sessions are designed to be enjoyable as well as inspiring.
