From Idea to Screenplay

Join writers Jacqueline Haigh and Luke Shipman from The Society of Authors for a lesson on how to turn your ideas into screenplays at the 12th BFI Future Film Festival, the UK's most important film industry festival for young, emerging filmmakers. They will be in conversation with Theo Jones, co-secretary of SoA's Scriptwriters Group.
Jacqueline Haigh writes for film, TV, radio, stage and print. Feature film screenplays include The Glastonbury Grail, The Sacred Quest and Twinge. Books include the non-fiction Misadventures in Mature Dating. She has also made award-winning short films and works extensively in script editing, including BFI funded, animated feature Amazing Ray.
Writer Luke Shipman is the founder of The London Ghostwriting Company. His team write books and films for the market without credit. He works as a story consultant, and ghostwriter on novels, memoirs, non-fiction books and screenplays. He studied film theory, video and scriptwriting, and now with his own independent film company he plans to write and direct his own feature films.
Theo Jones is a Publishing Contracts Advisor at the Society of Authors. As Co-Secretary to the Scriptwriters Group, he has particular expertise in representing writers and makers working across TV, film and radio as well as emerging AV media.
