Experience Poetry Therapy Course
Sat 8 Feb 2020 to Sat 8 Feb 2020
Experience the power of poetry therapy as a creative and effective tool to help self- expression, promote growth and healing. Learn how to use poetry and self- reflective writing for personal and professional development.

Poetry therapy is the interactive use of poetry and other forms of literature and or writing to promote growth and healing.

We will use carefully selected poems as a spring board to facilitate discussions and writing. By writing and reflecting on our own words, we can gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and, in turn, prepare for change.

The workshop is experiential and covers the basics of poetry therapy.

No prior knowledge of poetry or expressive writing is required. You simply must be willing to share, reflect and experiment with words in a supportive environment.

Charmaine Pollard is a certified poetry therapist. She gained her qualification with the International Federation for Biblio-Poetry Therapy U.S.A (IFBPT) She has over 10 years' experience of working with diverse communities from social, religious and ethnic backgrounds helping them to increase their confidence and resilience.
