Sampad: My City, My Home Writing Competition

Sampad (South Asian Arts and Heritage) invites entries for My City My Home, a creative writing competition for women writers in Birmingham, UK; Bangladesh and Pakistan. The theme is ‘city and home’ and how this connects to women.
You can enter a poem, short story or other prose (up to 1000 words).
Entrants must be women or girls aged 16+ who are residents or demonstrate a clear connection with locations in Pakistan, Bangladesh or Birmingham (UK).
Three winners will each receive £200 – one in each language Urdu, Bengali and English – with the publication of winning entries and further selected pieces launched in Birmingham, Pakistan, and Bangladesh in summer 2021.
