The Writers in Schools Skill Sharing Day is for any writers currently working in the primary or secondary education sector who would enjoy sharing their skills and experiences of running creative writing activities with children and young people.

The Skill Sharing Day includes sixteen facilitated workshops, each focusing on an aspect of the work of writers in schools. You will be able to attend up to four workshops and there will be plenty of time for informal discussion between sessions.

- Nicola Davis on General Workshops Techniques
- Janette Bushell on Arts Award
- Peggy Riley on Digital/Interactive Writing
- Dinos Aritsdon on Out of Classroom Writing
This will be a wonderful opportunity to share skills and make contacts.
The facilitators are experienced writers in schools and are giving their time for free in order to support the development of writers in schools work nationally.

email confirmation of your attendance, with details of any dietary or access requirements.
Places are initially available to anyone working as a writer in schools, although anyone managing such work may also find the Skill Sharing Day useful.
NB: The Skill Sharing Day is not suitable for writers who have not yet worked in this sector. A 'Getting Started' course for writers wanting to work in schools is being offered on 16 September 2011, also in Birmingham.
