NAWE is pleased to be organizing the Manchester event on 8 February. NAWE members are warmly invited to this and other county finals.
Witnessing any round of this competition, now in its second year, is a wonderfully rewarding experience, seeing first hand how students have tackled the difficult but rewarding task of memorizing and reciting their chosen poems. It would be particularly useful for any poets wishing to be involved in the initiative (e.g. within CPD events for teachers) to attend.
The winners from every individual school taking part go into the county rounds, with county winners then going into regional finals.
The Manchester final is taking place on Saturday 8 February at 10.30am at the Portico Library, 57 Mosley Street, Manchester M2 3HY.
