Call for Workshop Proposals – Writers and Teachers Skills Sharing Symposium – Creative Writing
NAWE, First Story and The Poetry Society are running a Skills Sharing Day on Saturday 4th July, 2015 aimed at writers who work in schools (any age range) and teachers with an interest in creative writing or who teach the subject
This event is hosted by the University of Bolton, which runs a thriving creative writing programme, BA and MA.
We are looking for 12 writers and/or teachers to run workshops as part of this event, which will be a fantastic opportunity to bring educators together, to network with other writers and teachers and to share valuable knowledge and experience.

Date: Saturday 4th July, 2015
Time: 10.30am – 4.15pm
Anyone running a workshop will get a free place (places otherwise charged at £45.)
We particularly welcome writers and teachers involved in delivering the creative writing ‘A’ level, and those working in secondary education.

200 words outlining your workshop proposal
150 words describing yourself and the work you do (and any publication track record)
The proposal needs to be for a practical, hands on workshop aimed at other writers and teachers, including exercises and ideas to try with young people themselves. Please outline the suitable age range or target group if appropriate, and the genre if applicable.
